About.
Tara Kerzhner is an award winning photographer, cinematographer, and accomplished rock climber. Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, Smith Rock is her heart’s home - even though she’s graduated from living in a truck to an apartment in Boulder, Colorado.
Since grabbing her mother’s film camera as a kid, Tara’s lifelong dedication to her art was set. A decade of adventure sports and rock climbing has since established her as one of climbing’s most sought-after storytellers. Today Kerzhner balances her passion for high angle adventure photography with editorial and commercial photography.
In some of her recent work, Tara received a grant from National Geographic to bring an Indigenous led perspective to the COVID-19 crisis on the Navajo Nation. She is also an active National Geographic Adventure contributor.
